    I just did a quick chart on yahoo in the same time series for CVX and XOM.  Eyeballing your chart against the stocks (not the best especially with regard to the older data series as integrated oil rather than small/mid cap E&P) they certainly follow it.  My only takeaway is there is always going to be a ton of volatility.  sigh.  the money is just supposed to roll in frustration free lol.  This is was helpful Z.  Thx.
