Wrap – Week Ended 06/06/14

Another solid week with the various ZLT portfolios up 0.5 to about 2%. We remain nearly fully invested and had no trades in the portfolios last week but look for some balancing trades soon as some of our top 10 names are getting a bit over-large in my view.

As usual, red circles in the Wrap table below are items worth noting.

Questions and comments under the Wrap this weekend will be addressed in the subscriber mailbag section of the Monday post.

Look for The Week That Was section in the Monday post to outline all of last week's happenings including our IPO preview piece last Friday.

The Catalyst Page is updated for the latest items for ZLT names.

The Blotter is updated.

Article (or at least a headline) on PVA. Couldn't see any content on my phone but headline about environmental ruling by judge

Barron's – Positive article but have to laugh at author of article calling them leader in Barnett & EFS (no mention of Bakken). Writing articles from press releases doesn't show mucho knowledge sometimes.  HP also mentioned as having big demand for their Flex Rigs and increasing dividends. Should do OK if Permian stays very active.  Would call attention to a mutual fund write up TOLLX. An infrastructure fund buying solid cash flow companies. 5 star. Been involved for 2 years. Good track record. 5yr +19.79%. A way to have pipeline exposure.

Zman I missed your ques. about Soroos and PVA on Fri. It's just a guess on my part. There is no question that there has been a consistent seller recently so I surmised it is the large $4 cost owner lightening up. No other insight on my part and no rumor.I guess I just started one.

    PADD 3  Crude  invetory  build

Could a large  part  of  this  build  be  condensate  [from EFS & Permian] which  is  targeted  for  splitters  so  it  can be  exported?    Noticed  that  MarkWest  had  a  large  splitter  operation  in Houston   down  for  a protracted  period,.      My understanding is the splitting capacity   in PADD 3    is   increasing, but   the  supply  is  far  exceeding  the splitting capacity  for  conddensate.

Z, could you give me a layman's primer on why Cushing inventories being so low and what potential negatives (or positives) this yields?

Zman, I saw an SA article on Lonestar Resources(LNR.AX) in which the author compares it favorable to many of your favs. Perhaps you could review the article by Value Digger and see if there are any glaring issues.
