Far out concept but in 1984 hardly anyone predicted than within 30 years a large percentage of the population would have a cell phone that can access a huge amount of info over something called the Internet.
re 2 – thanks DaveH, saw a video on that last well as well, didn't address costs or durability but it was pretty cool on the LED side with the ability to change street or parking lot layouts or convey warnings onto the "pavement".
May 26th, 2014 at 9:25 amRe: right, plus they say it could theoretically produce all the electricity needed in the U.S., but that assumes some way to store the electricity produced during the daytime as we want our TVs and some other electrical devices to work when the sun is down. Currently there is no way to store that much electricity.

The automakers will report May vehicle sales on Tuesday, June 3rd. Sales in April were close to 16.0 million on a seasonally adjusted annual rate basis (SAAR), and it appears sales in May will be above 16 million (SAAR). 16 MILLION AUTO SALES YEAR
re 5 – nice increase, and less than 1% will be electric but that will show a nice increase as well.
