IMHO as a former GE (Aircraft Engines Group) employee GE is not known for its originality, and will likely make contributintions via acquisitions of players and attempt to integrate them:

re 2 – its funny, they are one of the bigger guys out there in Service but you rarely here about them on the investment side in this area.
